Never worried, a few quirks though.
Haven’t used this much BUT it’s wonderful. Much different than past models and still cautious about the tilt lever durability as past ones have broken pins after uses. Wonderful that it incorporates a super secure pencil holder and nifty little panel for when you need to charge it. The rubber on the tilt panel isn’t as grippy as I’d like. Using the tilt panel while typing or playing rests on your knees very well if sitting on a couch. Since mine is still new, taking the protection cover off and on takes a little effort but that’s what you want for the Defender. Never worried that my new iPad isn’t protected. I’ve owned four of these so far and wouldn’t have anything else for my iPad or iPhone. I work in a kitchen and sometimes handyman work and tossing them around is common. Never worried.

Return policy stinks
The return policy stinks. I bought as a Christmas gift. It was the wrong size. They would not exchange despite product never being opened. Poor customer service. Didn’t even respond to my complaint.

Worst iPad cover I've ever had. So heavy and clunky and doesn't quickly switch from one position to another. Very expensive for something I'm so unsatisfied with.

Save Defender replacement costs for customers!
I use the stand-up often and break those small pins off. All other parts last with no wear.
Install a camera access hole so I don’t have to take the back off to shoot pictures! That’s time consuming and irritating.
Other than that, they’re great.??

Great protection, terrible kickstand
The protection is great. I appreciate it still coming with a screen protector. I was really looking forward to the case having a kickstand; however, the kickstand is AWFUL. It doesn't glide easily and I quickly broke the one piece, making it ineffective.
I still recommend the case as great protection. It was just the kickstand that was disappointing.

Don't like not being able to store the apple pencil smoothly. The apple pencil doesn't fit properly. You have to remove the back case to remove the pencil. Otherwise you will break the pencil. Also, tha camera is block by the backing of the case

First Otter I have not be satisfied with.
Stand is hard to unlatch, feels like it won’t last long. Cover latches so tight 3 corners have to be released it makes be question the longevity.

The case serves its purpose but the design of the previous case we had for an older iPad was much preferred. The stand on this one is more difficult to set up and it’s very flimsy compared to the old design.

Poor shipping/customer service
But Otterboxes shipping and customer service is the worst. Took 16days from the time it shipped to reach me. I ended up canceling and disputing the charge. I will go with a company that actually has someone that gets back to you and has decent customer service. This is my last Otterbox purchase. There are other/smaller companies that will actually want my business.

Great Defender Series Case
I love my new Defender Series Case. It met all of my expectations for an OtterBox case. I was especially happy with the built in screen protector which is not a standard feature anymore on most new OtterBox cases. The case is lightweight and has a new design and look from my older iPad Air Defender Series case. I like the color (blue) I selected but I wish they would offer more color options on this particular case. I’ve had the iPad case several months and It’s been excellent so far, you won’t be disappointed in this case.

Poor quality for OtterBox
Not what I expect of OtterBox - case lacks screen protection (for an $80 product!) so bad to purchase that unexpectedly on top of the case. Stand is a cheap, flimsy plastic and I’m fully expecting it to break in a short time. Options for this version of iPad are limited and it seems like OtterBox is taking advantage of that fact by providing a subpar product. I would not recommend.

Setup the defender to read/write on the iPad.
It’s a little bit difficult to extend the back adjustable flap each time you set it up. Much smoother in an earlier model.

The screen cover and pull out stand are flimsy, and not up to the usual Otterbox quality. It feels like cheap plastic. The other part- the cover for the back of the iPad- is good and fits well.

Ok but doesn’t really fit as well as I’m used to, especially around the camera. Was desperate for a case so I kept it but I’m not really happy. Not the quality I’ve come to expect from Otterbox. I’m a long time customer and this is the first miss.

Like others have said: half of the case is great
I have bought countless products from Otterbox and they have all been great....until now. Every one of my family's phones and iPads have been protected by Otterbox and for that, I am thankful to the company. I've always appreciated the design, functionality and aesthetics. That said, what were they thinking with that stand on this case. AWFUL design. For someone who doesn't carry around the stand on the iPad in the house and just uses it as a stand, it is a complete PAIN to snap the thing in and out every time we want to just put it up. Every other defender our family has had for the last 10 years has worked easily: pop up the little piece and rest your iPad. Now it's a hassle and very hard for our 9 year old to get on and off every time he sets the thing up. He has to ask an adult to help. Don't fix something that wasn't broken Otterbox. Please go back to the old stand and it will be a perfect case again. I'm not the only one complaining about this.

Best case!! Slow delivery. Confused by promotion.
The protection for my iPad is second to none!
The delivery was disappointing as it took over a week to arrive. I live in Wyoming and Otterbox is in northern Colorado. Not so far apart from each other. Really?!? Over a week?!!!??
Another gripe: I chose to order from the factory because it looked as though there was a 10% discount offered. That didn’t occur. ??
If I had ordered from Amazon for full price ( which I ended up paying from OtterBox) it would have arrived within 2 days.
I just chock this whole thing up to experience now.
OtterBox in the past has been prompt and efficient with getting their products out to me. I’ve used the Defender case for my iPads and iPhones for many years now. Over and over the lifetime warranty has been a great blessing whenever parts break. They replaced the broken case each time!! Awesome. Hopefully that hasn’t changed.
Maybe there’s a new generation of people? Maybe the policies have changed? Maybe COVID ruined the desire to have exceptional customer service? I don’t know. All I can hope for now is that the OtterBox case and company is as great as it has been in the past.
My experience is probably just a fluke. Be confident that you will get the best product from OtterBox. As I can see, the quality is still top notch!!!

Worst Otterbox product.
I posted a negative review and the response from Otterbox was to call customer service. I do that and hung up after 35 minutes of listening to horrible music on hold. Not much service from their customer service.

The case fits the iPad and feels secure. However, the kickstand used to prop the iPad is very difficult to use. It requires a lot of force to move in and out of positions and feels like it can break at any moment.

Not worthy of the Otter Box name
Just received the Defender for iPad 10th Gen today (Saturday). I’ll be returning it for a refund early next week. The case is nice and I’m sure it would be great protection for my iPad. The problem is the kickstand. It is terribly designed. It’s very flimsy and does not lock in to all of the positions.

This case is spectacular
I was so worried because of how many complaints there are online about how badly the cases are labeled online so it took me over an hour to read through everything and make sure I was picking the kind I needed, which was for an eight year old it had to have the screen covering but we’ve been over joyed the screen covering does everything I needed to do it doesn’t seem to decrease the responsiveness at all and the rest of the case is real nice and real solid

Stubborn Stand
This is my third Defender series case for an iPad and needless to say I have been always been pleased with the quality of the product. This one is good with the exception of the stand. I watched the video online on how to set it up but I found it extremely difficult to open up as did fellow family members. As for now, I have been using my previous stand and just using the new one for travel.

The case itself is well made and durable however, the plastic part in the back that allows for the ipad to stand up does not move smoothly and was hard to open and close. I have purchased defender ipad cases in the past and the stand was much easier to operate. I was not impressed with the latest one.

Rugged Protection for my new iPad.
The Defender series always provides rugged protection for my iPads. Ended up not using the snap on plastic case/ stand since I primarily use in the my lap, not on a flat service. Removing this may reduce some of the protection but makes it a lot less bulky.

Just awful, don’t buy
This case is awful. The stand is so difficult to open and close. I struggle with it every time I want to change the position and it feels like it will break at anytime. Definitely not worth the amount I paid for this case.
